About two years ago, we set out to create a scanning solution that was born from the cloud. One that included a minimal install experience, and was accessible via the web or via mobile applications. One that connected you to your existing cloud applications rather than add a new one to the mix.

Unfortunately the SimpleScan story ends here. We ran into a number of challenges and are closing down the service at the end of this month. As of today it is no longer possible to subscribe to the premium (paid) service. We have also removed our mobile apps from the iOS and Android app store. At the end of the month the www.simplescan.com website will be turned off as well.

The documents you have scanned are all safe since they are stored on your cloud service (Box, Dropbox, etc) of choice. If you own a SimpleScan scanner, you can continue to use it locally by downloading the DocketScan application here. For mobile app users, there are a number of free apps available (like Scannable or GeniusScan) that provide similar functionality.
